Certain groups occupy equipment for too long it's like they own it they think it's their private home gym. Most people don't re-rack, weights everywhere, there's signs to re-rack and warning that it may have consequences but staff doesn't really talk with people to reinforce that so many times you have to unload 200kg to use a barbel and stuff like that. I’ve been told by the PTs (who also think it’s too hot) they’ve reduced the air con by at least 50% to save money, despite having hundreds of customers paying for air con. It started off great, because of course it did, it was new, but the cracks really began to show by September 2023 when the university student rush stretched numbers. Firstly the roof is seriously compromised it has been shut for major leaks due to rain fall numerous times. This should have been thoroughly checked before acquiring the premises. 2 | I just started this week. Had Zumba, BodyFit and Dance so far. Zumba was fine (ok types, I have done more active Zumba at another gym in West Hampstead). BodyFit was also ok but Dance was just weird. First 15 mins we did 2 songs in good active dance movements and just as I was beginning to sweat and burn fat, the instructor started showing us some moves on the mat (like pilates or yoga) and she spent so much time trying to explain us the moves that my body completely cooled down.
